NEW YORK — Certifying themselves as the kings of Queens, the Chicago Cubs (72-61) defeated the New York Mets (67-66) 4-1 at Citi Field on Thursday night, thereby earning a 3-game sweep on the road. All of the Cubs' runs were plated via Victor Caratini home runs, with the catcher, who started at first base on the evening, going yard twice.

Caratini took star New York Mets hurler Jacob deGrom deep on a solo bomb and a 3-run blast. Overall, Caratini went 3-for-4 at the dish. Meanwhile, the Mets scored a run on a first-inning solo dinger and were held scoreless the rest of the way. As a result of the 4-1 triumph, the Cubs garnered their first 3-game sweep away from home since mid-April.
