ST. LOUIS — Coming up clutch, Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ tabbed his first significant hit of the season for the Chicago Cubs. Breaking a scoreless tie at Busch Stadium, Happ put the Cubs ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 1-0 in the top of the sixth on Wednesday.

Happ drove a 2-out single into right field and plated Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant by slapping a screamer past Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, who dove toward the ball but was unable to snag it. As a result, Happ tallied his first RBI since being called up from the minors last week.
