CHICAGO — Going yard for the second day in a row, Ian Happ smacked a solo jack in the bottom of the third on Tuesday. Happ also jacked a solo shot in the opener of Monday's doubleheader.
Providing starter Yu Darvish with some breathing room, Happ broke a scoreless tie and gave the Cubs a 1-0 lead. Even with the wind blowing in, the 382-footer sailed out to left at Wrigley Field. Happ's fifth long ball of the year, the opposite-field round-tripper came on a four-seamer thrown by Cardinals starter Daniel Ponce de Leon.
Oh, the wind is blowing in?
