NEW YORK — Showing off his lightning-fast reflexes, Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez flashed the leather and snagged a hard-hit liner to hold a runner at third base. Taking place in the second inning of the Cubs' series opener at Citi Field against the New York Mets on Tuesday, the web gem followed a leadoff triple.

Mets catcher Wilson Ramos smacked a hard-hit liner toward shortstop, and Baez was able to secure a difficult snag of it while hopping to his left. Baez made the difficult play look effortless, and the Mets ended up going scoreless in the second frame, with the game remaining tied at 0-0.
