WATCH: Kris Bryant crushes 426-foot blast to put Cubs up 10 |
The Chicago Cubs are having an offensive explosion on Opening Day against the Rangers.
Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant smacked a two-run opposite field homer that went 426 happy feet to put the Cubs up 12-2 in the eighth inning. The exit velocity was 104.6 MPH on the blast. It appears his shoulder has healed up quite nicely in 2019 and look for a monster year out of Bryant. First home run of the year for @KrisBryant_23! #KBoom#EverybodyIn pic.twitter.com/cgBu42c6nJ
Cubs Twitter accounts were happy with the homer: Kris Bryant's out here kicking off the 'New Year' properly. #OpeningDay #Cubs pic.twitter.com/MTFMJWEV7e
