WATCH: Rizzo gives Cubs back-to-back blasts with solo bomb that clangs off videoboard

by - Senior Writer -

Just four pitches after third baseman Kris Bryant went yard for the Chicago Cubs on Friday, first baseman Anthony Rizzo took a turn at going deep. Plowing a towering shot down the right-field line, Rizzo tallied a solo shot when the moonshot clanged off the videoboard beyond right field. The 426-foot dinger was smoked off the bat at 111 miles per hour and sported a launch angle of 30 degrees.

Rizzo currently leads the Cubs with 14 homers and 38 RBI on the season. Earlier in the week, Rizzo smashed a round-tripper that hit the Budweiser sign atop the Wrigley Field videoboard, and he continued to do damage to the decorations around the Friendly Confines with the solo jack on Friday, which put the Cubs up 4-0 on the Cincinnati Reds in the bottom of the third.
