WATCH: 'Schwar-bomb' alert! Schwarber skies towering 408-foot jack

by - Senior Writer -

With a launch angle of 30 degrees, Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber's sky ball against the Philadelphia Phillies was quite the towering shot. The seventh home run of the year for Schwarber carried 408 feet out to right-center after leaving the bat at 101 miles per hour.

A 2-run blast, the seventh-inning homer came with infielder David Bote on base and decreased the Cubs' deficit to three runs. Schwarber got underneath a slider thrown to him by Phillies reliever Pat Neshek and lifted it high into the afternoon air at Wrigley Field for an impressive 2-run tater.
