PITTSBURGH — Providing the Chicago Cubs with their first lead of the night, second baseman Tony Kemp hit a go-ahead triple in the gap between right and center at PNC Park on Friday. The 2-run 3-bagger put the Cubs up 2-1 over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the top of the eighth.
Lining a triple to deep right-center with men on first and second, Kemp plated both baserunners and chased Pirates starter Joe Musgrove from the game. The line drive served as Kemp's first triple in a Cubs uniform. We’ve been told that Tony Kemping isn’t easy.#EverybodyIn pic.twitter.com/4sMqgP0dYy
