The Cubs-Reds game on Thursday night has entered into a rain delay as the tarp is coming onto the field.

It comes with one in the top of the six inning with Kris Bryant due at the plate with the Cubs trailing 3-2. The game has lasted long enough to be official if the weather doesn't permit this game to continue later.

8:27 p.m. CT Update: Groundskeepers are starting to stir and remove the tarp.

8:33 p.m. CT Update: The game will resume at 9:05pm CT.

The Reds posted the following message on their video board:

"Fans, we are officially in a rain delay. We are unable to give an estimate on the length of the delay, but we do intend to continue the game tonight. An update will be provided when available. Thank you for your understanding.

CubsHQ will update you when we have an estimate when the game will be restarted.
