Vegas odds for Bears-Vikings

CHICAGO - Going into the rematch of Bears versus Vikings, the Vikings are favored to win by 3.5 points and the over / under is 43 points. Last time, the two times combined for only 32 points, the lowest total out of any Chicago game this season.

For this game, things are a lot different for Minnesota. First, their quarterback situation is different with Kirk Cousins out for the season and Joshua Dobss as the starter. Second, there is a possibility that wide receiver Justin Jefferson will be able to participate in this game; however, head coach Kevin O’Connell called Jefferson “questionable” for the game.

In every game Dobbs has started, the Vikings have scored at least 20 points. Therefore, this game seems like more of a high-scoring affair than the last matchup. Thus, bettors should take the risk and go with the over in this game.

BetMGM identified some helpful betting trends for Justin Fields, including that he has gone over on rushing yards in 12 of his last 13 games. That would include last week when he had over 100 rushing yards. Given the pressure Brian Flores likes to apply with his defense, Fields will most likely have to scramble frequently which is where the bulk of these rushing yards will come from.

According to BetMGM, Fields has also hit the under in seven of his last eight games. He just threw for 169 yards in his last game; the over / under for this game is 193.5. Because of the pressure they like to bring, Fields will most likely not have a lot of time to throw the football as he was only able to muster 58 passing yards last game until he was forced to leave with a dislocated thumb.

D’Onta Foreman has stepped up a lot at running back the past few weeks, even with the return of Khalil Herbert last week. Foreman has scored five touchdowns this season, two of those coming in the past two weeks. He also has a total of five on the season, which is tied for a career-high for him. Therefore, Foreman should be someone bettors think about for an any-time scorer.

One final player to bet on is wide receiver DJ Moore. Now that Fields is back at quarterback, Moore is back to getting the ball more. He found the end zone against Detroit and had nearly 100 receiving yards. His over / under for receiving yards, according to DraftKings, is 58.5 yards. Because of the quarterback situation, Moore should hit the over for this total. He should also be considered for an any-time scorer as this could potentially be a high-scoring game where Moore will need to score in order for the Bears to win.
