Former Chicago Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa helped bring a myriad of fans back to baseball during the summer of 1998 when he smacked 66 home runs.

However, it appears that Sosa continues to deny that he used PEDs during his MLB career where he smashed 609 home runs.

"I never had a test positive in this country," said Sosa in a recent E:60 interview with Jeremy Schaap.

Schaap gave Sosa a second chance to change his answer to the question.

"No, I never missed any test at the major league level," said Sosa. "To be clear," he added, "I have never taken illegal performance-enhancing drugs. I have never injected myself or had anyone inject me with anything."

The full interview will air this Sunday at 9 a.m. on ESPN.
