Cubs News: 2016 World Series draws highest ratings since 2009

The Chicago Cubs lost 6-0 to the Cleveland Indians in Game one of the World Series on Tuesday night.

Both fanbases are starved and ready for a championship as the Fox broadcast delivered a 12.6 rating which meant 13% of households watched according to data released by the Fox Network. It was the highest World Series rating since the Phillies and the Yankees played in 2009.

50% of Cleveland's households tuned into the game while 34% were watching in Chicago.

The Cubs will face off against the Indians in game two of the World Series on Wednesday night at 6:08 CT on Fox.
