by - Senior Editor -

CHICAGO -- ESPN released their latest article with their MLB Power Rankings on Monday morning and had the Chicago Cubs ranked No. 1 again in the rankings. The Cubs had a preseason ranking of No. 1 and currently have a 4-2 record on the year as they celebrate their home opener at Wrigley Field on Monday night.

The Cubs were ranked No. 1 in the rankings 25 out of 27 weeks last season. More importantly, they won their first World Series in over 108 years and trying to go for back-to-back titles this year.

"Despite a slow start from reigning MVP Kris Bryant (0-for his first-13 with six K's), the Cubs won their opening series in St. Louis behind strong pitching, allowing nine runs in three games," ESPN.com said. "They'll be tested at home this week in a three-game series against the Dodgers in a rematch of last year's National League Championship Series."

The Top 10 teams in the rankings were the Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Detroit Tigres.
