Good news for the Bears defense tonight.

The Chicago Bears announced on Friday that they have activated veteran defensive tackle John Jenkins from the injured reserve.

Jenkins is listed as questionable (thumb) for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. If he is able to play, he would be a valuable member to help stop the run for the Bears' talented defense.

Last season, Jenkins had 34 tackles, one sack, and two tackles for loss for Miami.

In 2017 with the Bears, he had eight tackles.

In a corresponding move, Bears released veteran defensive tackle Daniel McCullers and added him to the practice squad.
