Bryant out for Saturday's game vs. Cardinals

by - Senior Editor -

Chicago Cubs slugger Kris Bryant was a late scratch on Friday night's game against the St. Louis Cardinals with a stomach illness. Bryant was warming up before the game in the outfield and started to feel sick during pregame.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon told reporters after Friday night's game that Bryant will also be out for Saturday's game at 3:15 CDT against the Cardinals.

Hopefully, this will not be a severe stomach issue, and Bryant can come back on Sunday. In 2017, Bryant is batting .299 with seven homers, 19 RBI, and has a .401 on-base percentage.
