The Chicago Cubs announced that there will be a short delay for tonight's game against the Kansas City Royals on Monday night.

First pitch will now be at approx. 7:30 p.m. CT instead of 7:15 p.m. CT.

It has been raining in the previous hour at Wrigley and the tarps are just now being removed by the grounds crew.

Once the game gets going, the Cubs will try to keep the win coming as they are 7-2 through the first nine games, their best start since the title-winning 2016 season.
