Cubs are 'absolutely motivated' to get a Kris Bryant-Nolan Arenado deal done

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Cubs are currently going through the early stages of Spring Training on Thursday. However, rumors won't slow down about the trade situation going on with Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant.

The Cubs reportedly are still interested in making a blockbuster trade for Nolan Arenado which would include Kris Bryant.

The report came from NBC Sports Chicago's David Kaplan talking on his radio show on Wednesday.

“I was on the phone with somebody in Colorado last night who covers the Rockies,” Kaplan said, “and he said to me, ‘Hey dude, let me just tell you, these discussions are real. He [Arenado] absolutely wants out of the Colorado Rockies organization, and he’s made it clear to ownership, ‘I don’t want to be here. Get me outta here.’

“He said, ‘I’m telling you, the Cubs are absolutely motivated to try and get him. Absolutely, 100 percent.'”

Les Shapiro of Miles Sports Radio is basically reporting the same information in the following posts:
