Cubs lineup vs. Cardinals, Russell to start

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Cubs (82-66) will battle their rival St. Louis Cardinals at 1:20 p.m. CDT on Sunday afternoon televised on CSN Chicago and TBS. The Cubs are in sole possession of first place ahead of the Brewers by four games in the National League Central division, their sixth straight win, and the sweep of the Redbirds.

The North Siders are currently 7-3 in their last ten games as the Cardinals, and the Brewers are right in the thick of things in the divisional race.

Lefty Jose Quintana will start for the defending World Champions opposed by righty Lance Lynn.

In 2017, Quintana has a 10-11 record with 4.25 ERA and 184 strikeouts.

Both starting outfielders Kyle Schwarber and Jason Heyward are back in the lineup today after not starting on Saturday.

Addison Russell returns to the starting lineup after his six-week DL stint with his right foot injury and will play his normal shortstop as Javy Baez is getting the much needed day off.
