The Chicago Cubs (36-35) will battle the Miami Marlins at 6:10 p.m. CDT on Thursday night televised on CSN Chicago Plus and MLB Network.

Righty veteran Jake Arrieta will take the mound for the defending World Champions.

First baseman Anthony Rizzo will leadoff again after being a spark plug for the last eight games.

In injury news, Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward is on the disabled list with a hand abrasion andBen Zobrist is still out with his wrist injury and currently on the 10-day disabled list. Zobrist stayed back in Chicago to do rehab before being activated by the Cubs in a few days.

The Cubs are currently still in second place in the National League Central (1.5 GB) behind the Milwaukee Brewers.
