The Chicago Cubs (37-36) will battle the Miami Marlins at 3:10 p.m. CDT on Saturday afternoon televised on ABC-7 Chicago. Lefty veteran Jon Lester will take the mound for the defending World Champions. In 2017, he has a 4-4 record with 3.83 ERA and 93 strikeouts.

First baseman Anthony Rizzo will get a much needed day off today while Jon Jay will get a chance to leadoff. In other positional news, Kris Bryant will have a rare start at first base.

In injury news, Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward is on the disabled list with a hand abrasion and Ben Zobrist is still out with his wrist injury and currently on the 10-day disabled list. Zobrist stayed back in Chicago to do rehab before being activated by the Cubs hopefully in a few days.

The Cubs are currently still in second place in the National League Central (1.5 GB) behind the Milwaukee Brewers.
