The Chicago Cubs (33-33) will battle the Pittsburgh at 7:15 p.m. CDT on Saturday night at PNC Park televised nationally on FOX. This is the 14th time that the Cubs are .500 on the season.

Veteran righty Jake Arrieta will take the mound for the defending World Champions as they try to find a way back to back games on the road. In 2017, Arrieta has a 6-4 record with a high 4.68 ERA with 79 strikeouts.

One lineup note is that first baseman Anthony Rizzo will leadoff again after being a spark plug for the last three games drilling home runs. He is batting .371 with three RBI and 13 RBI during his current 10-game hitting streak. Amazingly, he only needs one homer to reach 150 for his young but outstanding career.

The Cubs are currently in second place in the National League Central (2.5 GB) behind the Brewers.
