Cubs lineup vs. Pirates, Rizzo out

The Chicago Cubs (75-62) will battle the Pittsburgh Pirates at 6:05 PM CDT on Tuesday afternoon televised on CSN Chicago. The Cubs are in sole possession of first place ahead of the Brewers by 3.5 games in the National League Central division.

The North Siders are currently 7-3 in their last ten games.

Righty Kyle Hendricks will start for the defending World Champions opposed by lefty Steven Brault. In 2017, Hendricks has a 6-4 record with an impressive 3.32 ERA and 94 strikeouts. Since being activated from the disabled list, Hendricks has a 2-1 record with a 2.31 ERA in his last eight starts.

Starting shortstop Javy Baez will be in the starting lineup after leaving Sunday's game getting hit in the eye by during a head first slide against the Braves.

Baez is batting .271 with 21 homers, 67 RBI, and .315 on-base percentage.

Star slugger Anthony Rizzo gets a rare day off with Victor Caratini replacing him at first base and batting seventh in the lineup.
