Cubs plane headed to LA makes emergency landing |
The Chicago Cubs had a wild and crazy 9-8 NLCS series win on Thursday night. However, the craziness didn't end one they got on the plane.
According to multiple reports, the Cubs plane headed to Los Angeles had to do an emergency landing in Albuquerque because of a severe illness of a player's family member. However, it appears to be non-life threatening which is great news. The plane spent five hours on the ground at Albuquerque before taking off. The plane is now en route to Los Angeles again after they dropped off the sick person to get the medical attention they needed. The Cubs should arrive in Los Angeles around 11 a.m. PT according to MLB's Jon Morosi. #Cubs family member is *not* in a life-threatening situation, I’m told. Pilot also ran out of allotted hours; plane is awaiting new pilot.
