Cubs selling 2016 Ivy leaves for $200 bucks

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Cubs won their first World Series since 1908 and fans have been buying up memorabilia to make sure they remember the historic season.

However, the Cubs have a unique item just now for sale. It's the Wrigley Field Ivy leaves from the 2016 season for sale for $200 bucks + $15 shipping.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, the leaves will be sold to the public for the first time with a hologram for authenticity.

"The team emailed premier clients and season-ticket holders on Tuesday with an offer to purchase the ivy leaves that covered Wrigley Field's outfield walls during the 2016 season," Rovell said. "Although the foliage is typically discarded when the ivy turns red and sheds its leaves in November, the team, after the historic 2016 season, instead chose to collect the leaves for the first time and have each authenticated with a hologram."

The buying limit is ten leaves per customer and they will sell only 2,016 leaves to the public.
