Chicago Cubs first-time manager David Ross was named a finalist for National League Manager of the Year, announced on Monday night. The finalists were Ross, Marlins' Don Mattingly, and Padres' Jayce Tingler. Ross led the Cubs to the fourth-best record in the National League (34-26) and grabbed the NL Central crown for the first time since 2017. Overall, it was a very successful season under such difficult conditions during a COVID-19 pandemic season. The winner of the award will be announced on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. on MLB Network.
