KB and Grandpa Rossy have reunited.

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant arrived in Mesa, Arizona on Saturday to a warm greeting by his teammates and his new manager David Ross.

Ross told the media that he is excited that the former MVP is still with the ballclub despite all those persistent trade rumors.

"When you see the All-Stars walk in the room, especially when they're like 6-6 with beautiful blue eyes, it makes you smile. And the great haircut that he has. I was telling him, too, he's got a tan this year too. That's a good vibe for me."

Ross isn't hanging out in the locker room like a player but got to see him in his office.

"I'm not in the locker room anymore. I let those guys kind of police out themselves on their own. When he walked into my office today, it was definitely all smiles and hugs from me."

Ross had said previously that he has great admiration of Bryant on how he has dealt with this tough offseason.

"I don't anticipate any of that," Ross said about the trade rumors. "Kris has been dealing with a lot throughout his career and expectations and the spotlight being on him since the time I've met him. That guy is solid mentally and a focused human being. To deal with what he's had to deal with and procude the way he's produced, I don't know how he's done it."
