Cubs News: David Ross to miss his managerial debut with illness

by - Senior Editor -

This is a tough break for the start of the Grandpa Rossy era.

Chicago Cubs manager David Ross will not be managing tonight against the Oakland A's because of the flu according to multiple reports.

Ross went home and is recovering.

Bench coach Andy Green will take his place as the acting manager for the Cactus League opener.

The game has been pushed back because of the weather and will be at 7:10 p.m. CT instead of the previously announced 2:10 p.m. CT.
