by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Cubs will get their postsason underway under a day from now as they will face off against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday afternoon.

Cubs manager David Ross told the media Tuesday that his team is fairly healthy as they have reached postseason play.

"The reason we have tried to stay away from some of their minor injuries was to get them ready for this (postseason). We had our eye on this postseason knowing that we were going to be here for a while. Just getting into this format and being completely healthy. David (Bote) feels great. Just talked to him this morning. Tyler Chatwood will throw today off the mound and hopefully be ready soon."

Ross is ready to get the playoffs started.

"We have had guys that have had some bumps and bruises but everyone seems to be on the mend and we will be ready to go tomorrow."

Ross said that they will have some meetings later today to finalize the postseason roster.
