Dodgers manager takes jab at Cubs

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Cubs are facing elimination in the NLCS playoff series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night.

However, that didn't stop Dodgers manager David Roberts to take a jab at the Cubs.

Roberts was talking to reporters on Wednesday and discussed the 2004 Boston Red Sox epic comeback from an 0-3 deficit against the New York Yankees. Roberts was a key member of the team that made that comeback to give the Red Sox the World Series trophy.

"I think that was a once-in-a-lifetime (coming back from 0-3) thing," Roberts said as he winked at reporters. "It was a special group."

Roberts pretty much thinks this series is over like most fans. It will be interesting to see if the Cubs can win a few games in this series to put the pressure back on the Dodgers.
