Ian Happ likes the DH rule for Cubs

Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ has been all over social media and even started a podcast called 'The Compound' the last few months since COVID-19 interrupted the sports world.

Flash forward to this week, and he was interviewed about a universal DH for the next two seasons that is proposed by MLB in the latest rounds of negotiations.

"I think this is one you’re going to have a lot of different opinions on, too,” Happ said about the DH rule on The Score. “I think personally for me. I like it for many different reasons. I like it for our team, the way that we’re constructed, and I like it for the action of the game – I like it for the fans because how many fans out there want to see (Kyle) Hendricks and (Yu) Darvish and Johnny Lester hit?"

I get what he is saying about watching Hendricks and Darvish hitting, but Lester can undoubtedly get a hold of a ball if he makes solid contact."

With it comes to the Cubs roster, putting a Kyle Schwarber at DH would certainly bolster the middle of the lineup daily.
