Cubs News: Kris Bryant updates his shoulder rehab

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton  ·  Senior Editor ·

A new season and a healed shoulder could do wonders for a former MVP.

Cubs standout third baseman Kris Bryant looks to have a HUGE year after shoulder inflammation hurt his performance last season.

Bryant has his shoulder feeling great after being able to rehab it the last two months.

"My shoulder is perfectly healed," he said Friday night at the Cubs Convention. "It feels great. Everything about it feels like right back where I was before so I am happy. It is sorta hard to heal. You take a week off and you are feeling better so you take a few swings rather than the offseason, you dedicate a whole two months to working out, getting it stronger, kinda letting everything settle down. I think that is what I really needed."

Bryant batted .272 with 13 homers in 102 games as he went on the disabled list twice with left shoulder issues.
