Cubs News: Kris Bryant's wife stands up to Twitter trolls |
The Chicago Cubs are having their yearly Cubs Convention starting on Friday night.
Cubs standout third baseman Kris Bryant has been dealing with a ton of trade rumors this offseason, and now he has been battling the flu. Some Twitter trolls on the Internet thought that maybe Bryant had made up the sick excuse so that he wouldn't be at Cubs Convention or not do much with the fans. However, his wife, Jessica, had to set them straight with the following message. "Because it makes so much sense to fly all the way to Chicago to fake the flu," she posted. "Not to mention leaving his pregnant wife, who also has the flu at home because he truly loves being at the convention every year. But yep totally faking it." Mic drop. Haters gonna hate. Good for her to stand up to the bullies on social media. Because it makes so much sense to fly all the way to Chicago to fake the flu. Not to mention leaving his pregnant wife who also has the flu at home because he truly loves being at the convention every year. But yep totally faking it?? Update 1: During the Opening Ceremony, Bryant shook some hands with fans but didn't look that well at all, basically looked like he was sick. Kris Bryant isn’t feeling well, but making an appearance during Opening Ceremonies. #CubsCon pic.twitter.com/ZQJPqh4QVk An under the weather @cubs Kris Bryant limits everyone to fist bumps so no one else gets sick. Ya know, he could have just stayed home if he wanted to. No one is required to be here. Jon Lester has missed 2 years in a row. But Bryant is here despite being sick.
