La Stella pranks Cubs with giant bouncy house |
Cubs utility infielder
Tommy La Stella is having an interesting week or two with the front office.
La Stella was previously parking in Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer's parking spots during Spring Training. That is a no-no for any worker to park in any management level's spot in any organization. However, the Cubs management took it all in stride and made La Stella go through a day of drills wearing khakis on Monday if he wanted to be more like them. Here is the funny photo evidence, courtesy of MLB insider Carrie Muskat. I wish there was a video of him turning double plays with the business attire. Here's La Stella. #Cubs pic.twitter.com/0xEbcRunUr It appears that La Stella might have gotten them back by placing a giant bouncy house in their parking spots on Friday morning. Well played, sir. It will be interesting to see how Epstein and Co. react to this one. Is a trip to the minors on the plate or maybe an entire week of khaki-wearing for La Stella as a punishment? Tommy La Stella isn't parked in Theo and Jed's spaces today but this bounce house was. #Cubs pic.twitter.com/iiqXFm68BH La Stella admitted that he was responsible for the bouncy house in media interviews this afternoon. Theo Epstein had a witty remark about the bouncy house in his parking spot directed towards La Stella. "I don't know why he put that there," he said. "He's not tall enough to bounce in that. ... Neither is Jed though. "
