Last minute travel deals for Cubs fans

The Cubs are back in Chicago tomorrow for the NLCS, and while it may be hard to believe, it’s still not too late to make some spur-of-the-moment travel plans. There isn’t much time to waste – here’s the best deals available right now.

From Atlanta, for $85, you can fly out at 6:40 am Tuesday morning on Spirit Airlines and be in Chicago by 8:00 am. This gives you plenty of time to book a hotel room, relax for a bit, and catch the game at 8 that evening. Fly back on Saturday to get this rate.

From Orlando, for $195, you can fly out at 5:50 pm tomorrow on Spirit. You’ll arrive in Chicago at 7:55 pm, which won’t give you enough time to make it to the Tuesday game, but you can definitely catch the game on Wednesday. Return on Friday for this rate.

There are two options out of New York that will get you to Chicago for the Wednesday game. You can leave out of JFK on Tuesday night at 6:06 pm for $188 on JetBlue and arrive in Chicago around 8:00 pm. You could also fly out Wednesday morning at 7:30 am for $209 on Delta and arrive at 9:10 am. Both flights are non-stop, and the rates are available if you return on Saturday.

For fans traveling from further out west, options may be limited depending on where you live, but there are definitely some reasonable rates.

There are several flight options out of Las Vegas for $142. You can choose to leave tomorrow on American Airlines at any of the following times: 7:00 am, 9:55 am, 11:50 am, or 3:15 pm. These flights are all non-stop and last approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes from takeoff to landing. Depending on the one you choose, you could make it to Chicago with plenty of time to catch the Tuesday game. Return on Saturday to get this rate. Leaving on Wednesday is still $142, but the only flight times are 12:15 am and 7 am.

Out of San Francisco, for $209 there are several flights similar to the ones out of Las Vegas. Tomorrow, on American Airlines, you could leave at any of the following times: 11:00 am, 2:20 pm, 4:30 pm, or 11:55 pm. These are non-stop and last about 4 hours and 15 minutes. While it’s not likely that you would be able to make it to the Tuesday night game, you would certainly make it to the game on Wednesday. Return on Saturday for this rate.

Airfare rates change quickly, so if you see a rate that works for you, it is best to act quickly. These deals can be found by typing your flight destination in at
