Marlins-Orioles game reportedly canceled due to COVID-19 outbreak |
We knew this would happen eventually as baseball is trying to play during a pandemic.
The Miami Marlins' home opener against the Baltimore Orioles has been canceled on Monday due to an outbreak regarding COVID-19 according to multiple reports. Multiple reports say that at least 14 positive cases have spread through the Marlins' clubhouse with at least 11 players out of 33 and two coaches traveling with the team. ESPN's Jesse Rogers posted on social media that not all cases are asymptomatic. The Marlins are still in Philadelphia undergoing more testing. This is terrible news as we hope that all the players and staffers get healthy as soon as possible. It was the right call to cancel the game until they get this under control with testing with everyone associated with the Marlins.
