Mets fire manager Carlos Beltran

by - Senior Editor -

Cheaters usually get caught eventually.

New manager Carlos Beltran is out as the manager of the New York Mets because of his deep involvement in the Houston Astros' cheating scandal. Both parties "mutually agreed to part ways" at this time.

“I’m grateful to them for giving me the opportunity, but we agreed this decision is in the best interest of the team," he said on Thursday. "I couldn’t let myself be a distraction."

Beltran was fired before he could even coach a single spring training game.

This is the third team to fire their manager because of this wild cheating scheme along with the Astros and Red Sox.
