New start time for Cubs-Brewers on Wednesday

The Chicago Cubs (7-7) will play against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday afternoon on WGN-TV and MLB Network. Righty Kyle Hendricks will take the mound for the defending World Champions.

However, there is some bad weather in the area and the tarp is now on the field at Wrigley Field.

The Wrigley Field video board posted the following message: "There is lightning in the area, for your safety, please seek shelter and follow the direction of Wrigley Field Associates. Thank you."

12:15 p.m. CT Update - The game is officially delayed by rain and lightning in the area.

1:00 p.m. CT Update - The ground crew is taking the tarp off of the field.

1:29 p.m. CT Update - The game will start at 2:15 pm. CT.
