WATCH: Contreras loses his mind after smacking 2-run homer

by - Senior Writer -

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — Powering out his third home run of the young season, Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras provided the Cubs with their first runs of the game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. Contreras made the rubber match much more interesting with a 390-foot shot to opposite field. The 2-run bomb to right plated first baseman Anthony Rizzo and made the score 4-2.

Contreras came through in the clutch, with his dinger occurring with two outs in the top of the sixth. The round-tripper also chased Brewers starter Zach Davies from the game. Perhaps as a result of the pent-up frustration from being shut out for five innings, Contreras let it loose with his wild reaction while rounding the bases on his home-run gallop. The fiery backstop homered in both of his outings in the Milwaukee series, as he did not see the field in game two.
