WATCH: Dexter Fowler fails to make diving catch on Heyward triple

Former Chicago Cubs and current St. Louis Cardinals center fielder Dexter Fowler failed to make a diving catch of well-hit ball off the bat of Chicago Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward in the fifth inning on Sunday. Credited with a triple, Heyward tabbed a hit to right-center that fell just short of Fowler's outstretched glove and rolled to the wall.

Coming after Willson Contreras drew a leadoff walk, Heyward's first triple of the season plated Contreras to put the Cubs ahead 2-0. Although Fowler missed out on making the catch, he was not charged with an error on the difficult play.
