WATCH: Eloy Jimenez smashes stadium light with towering homer

The Chicago Cubs top prospect Eloy Jimenez is known for his powerful bat but he took it to another level on Monday night.

Jimenez hit a towering homer that smashed the stadium light in a minor league home run derby contest in the following video. The home run hitting the lights is very reminiscent of a scene in the popular baseball movie "The Natural." Cubs fans everywhere hope Jimenez is the second coming of the fictional baseball hero Roy Hobbs in the Natural.

Jimenez is batting .278 with seven home runs and 22 RBI in 28 games in high Class-A ball this season.
