Check out the following video as Cubs President of Operations Theo Epstein talks about how each game matters and it will be a lesson that the team carries forward in 2019 and beyond.

"We will remember that feeling of falling one game short and try to apply it 162 times throughout the course of the season," Epstein said during his wrap-up press conference.

Jon Lester had the following take the Cubs failed to win advance in the playoffs.

"I feel like in the game of baseball, you can never predict anything," he said. "Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good. Right now we are taking the bad. For lack of a better term, sometimes you need to get your di$% knocked in the dirt to appreciate it where we're at. Maybe we needed that."

Video Description: After a disappointing end to the 2018 season for the Chicago Cubs, Theo Epstein shared the same sentiments that starting pitcher Jon Lester said about the harsh reality of not respecting all 162 regular season games.
