WATCH: Heyward leaves his feet for flashy catch

by - Senior Writer -

Never one to shy away from a web gem, Chicago Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward pulled off a flashy diving catch against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday. In the top of third, Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin skied an arcing liner to no man's land down the right-field line. Luckily for the Cubs, Heyward is no normal man.

Heyward darted in the direction of the line drive and laid out for it, leaving his feet to make the backhanded catch just before the ball landed on the outfield grass. Heyward proceeded to smoothly slide across the ground while lifting his glove in the air to show off his prize.
