CHICAGO — Thanks to a dominant showing from ace Kyle Hendricks, the Chicago Cubs (1-0) shut out the Milwaukee Brewers (0-1) on Opening Day. The Cubs won 3-0 at Wrigley Field on Friday, and Hendricks tossed a complete game.

In addition to Hendricks giving up zero runs and zero walks, he struck out nine and was taken for just three hits. A two-run jack by Ian Happ and a solo shot from Anthony Rizzo provided the Cubs with their three runs.
