CHICAGO — On Saturday, the Chicago Cubs (80-68) stayed red-hot at the plate after defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates (65-84) 17-8 in Friday's series opener. Winning 14-1 in the second installment of the 3-game series at Wrigley Field, the Cubs smacked four dingers and dominated from start to finish.

The third of the four dingers hit by the Cubs on the afternoon was a record-breaking blast, as it marked the franchise-record 236th homer of the season for the Cubs. While the contest featured several controversial moments surrounding hit by pitches, the Cubs' explosive offense stole the show.
