CHICAGO, Ill. — The Chicago Cubs (22-13) defeated the Miami Marlins (10-27) 4-1 in the finale of a 4-game series at Wrigley Field on Thursday behind a pair of home runs hit by sluggers Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo. Bryant opened the scoring action with a solo shot in the bottom of the first, and Rizzo powered out a 2-run blast that scored Bryant in the bottom of the fifth.

Rizzo's dinger marked his 200th in a Cubs uniform, making him just the ninth player to go yard at least 200 times while a member of the Cubs. Chicago reliever Mike Montgomery showed out on the mound by pitching five scoreless innings of relief. With Thursday's win factored in, the Cubs took three of four from the Fish for their seventh straight series victory.
