SAN DIEGO — Becoming the sixth player to hit 20 home runs in a Chicago Cubs uniform this season, center fielder Jason Heyward swatted a 2-run blast against the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. The dinger put the Cubs up 2-0 in the top of the second.

Skied to the opposite field at Petco Park, the 349-footer barely cleared the wall in left field for Heyward's 20th dinger of 2019. The round-tripper, which came on a four-seamer thrown by Padres starter Ronald Bolanos, plated third baseman Kris Bryant.
