WATCH: Joey Votto got stopped by Wrigley Field security

Cincinnati Reds slugging first baseman Joey Votto is one of the game's top hitters and one of Canada's finest players to ever play baseball.

However, one young Wrigley Field security guard didn't recognize Votto as he went through the metal detector before the Reds' opener with the Cubs.

"Who am I?" Votto asked a nearby fan.

"Joey Votto," the fan said. "That's the man. You gotta learn that name man."

Congrats to Votto and the security guard who both handled the awkward situation well.
