CHICAGO — After the Chicago Cubs hit 14 home runs in their weekend sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the power-hitting trend carried over into the Cubs' series opener with the Cincinnati Reds on Monday. In the bottom of the first, Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber smashed a 3-run dinger.

Carrying 397 feet out to center field, the 37th homer of the season for Schwarber came on on a four-seamer thrown by Reds starter Kevin Gausman. The 3-run jack at Wrigley Field left the bat at 104 miles per hour and sported a launch angle of 29 degrees.
