SAN DIEGO — Providing the Chicago Cubs with an early lead on Monday, right fielder Nicholas Castellanos went yard for the 14th time in a Cubs uniform. Smacking a 2-run jack out beyond center field, Castellanos put the Cubs up 2-0 on the San Diego Padres.

Carrying 428 feet, the mammoth blast at Petco Park left the bat at 107 miles per hour and 27 degrees for Castellanos' 25th dinger of the year. The jack, which plated Cubs second baseman Ben Zobrist, came on a fastball thrown by Padres starter Cal Quantrill.
