WATCH: Robel Garcia gets hit in helmet by catcher's throw back to mound

MILWAUKEE — Summing up the frustrating weekend series against the Milwaukee Brewers that the Chicago Cubs had endured up to that point, Cubs second baseman Robel Garcia was hit in the batting helmet with an errant throw by Brewers catcher Yasmani Grandal. Leading off for the second straight game, Garcia was beaned in the helmet on a toss made by Grandal back to the pitcher.

Other than having his helmet repositioned on his head, Garcia was fine after getting grazed in the noggin by Grandal's off-line throw. The blooper came in the first at-bat of Sunday's series finale at Miller Park. Garcia went on to fly out to deep center field to cap off a hard-fought 8-pitch at-bat, making him 0-for-6 in the leadoff spot.
